An API key is a way to allow an external program (like this website) to securely access some data from your Guild Wars 2 account.
In order to produce an API key for this website, follow these steps:
- Login on the ArenaNet account website (https://account.arena.net/login - for security reasons there is no link on this website sending you directly to the login page)
- Go to the “Applications” tab
- Click “New key”
- Name the key however you want, and make sure “inventories”, “characters” and “wallet” are checked
- Click “Create API key”
These steps need to be performed just once.
Once you have the API key, copy it into the API key box, click the button, and it will be saved in your browser.
Should you change your browser or delete the cache, just go to the applications page and copy-paste the key you generated once more, without generating a new one.
